Spring is here. In fact, we're about a quarter of the way through spring. If you haven't already done so, it's high-time you headed on over to our service center here at Sangera Subaru to have spring service completed! Whether you drive an Outback, a Forester, a Crosstrek, or a different Subaru model, winter can be harsh on your vehicle, even in an area that experiences relatively warm winters like here in the Bakersfield area. Plus, it's never a bad idea to take proactive measures to protect what may be your first or second most expensive asset - your beloved Subaru. With that in mind, here are some of the ways we suggest keeping your car maintained this spring.

  • Have your alignment checked
  • Make sure your fluids - oil, but also power steering fluid, brake fluid, washer fluid and coolant - are topped off, and your car has no leaks
  • Have your oil changed and your oil filter replaced
  • Get your A/C and heating systems checked out in advance of the warmer weather
  • Make sure that your car's engine cooling system is working properly. That includes components like your fan belt, your hoses, your radiator and thermostat
  • Have your tire tread, and pressure checked and tended to. Get your tires and wheels rotated, too
  • Ensure that your brakes are in good working order via a brake system check

The above spring maintenance tips are just some of the ways you can ensure that your Subaru is in good working order in time for warmer weather! If in doubt, bring your vehicle to us here at the Sangera Subaru Service Center, and we'll be happy to inspect your car to make sure it's in tip-top shape!
