There is a lot of updates and changes for the 2019 model year in the Subaru family. More Subaru models than ever before come standard with the highly awarded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Subaru also introduced its largest and most powerful SUV yet and totally redesigned the beloved Forester. The Subaru WRX also received a number of updates to make it the most powerful WRX yet. Subaru has also introduced the most efficient small SUV yet that gets up to 90 MPGe. Needless to say, 2019 is going to be a very exciting year for Subaru and Subaru lovers everywhere.

Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is the combination of four advanced safety features that monitor the road around you to prevent or minimize a collision. Subaru EyeSight has been proven to reduce rear-end crashes with injuries by up to 85% and is also the top-ranked advanced safety package on the road. The Subaru Forester, Ascent, Outback and Legacy all come standard with EyeSight. Every Subaru Impreza and Crosstrek with Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission are also available with EyeSight.

The Subaru Ascent is the newest member of the Subaru family and has spacious seating for 8, a standard 19 cupholders, and can tow up to 5,000 lbs. The Subaru Ascent is powered by a new 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder BOXER engine that delivers impressive power and fuel efficiency with 260 horsepower and 27 highway mpg. The 2019 Ascent is ready for big adventure with raised roof rails and a maximum cargo space of 86.5 cubic feet.

It is easy to see that the Forester is all new right from the time you lay eyes on it. But a bold new look isn't the only thing that is new about the 2019 Subaru Forester. It is also larger than the previous model with 111.9 cubic feet of spacious seating for five and a maximum cargo space of 76.1 cubic feet. Another new feature of the 2019 Forester is the first of its class drowsy and distracted driver mitigation system, Subaru DriverFocus. Powering the Forester is a new 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER engine that now produces 182 horsepower for a more spirited performance.

The arrival of the Subaru Crosstrek hybrid is very exciting because it is setting the bar very high for all over hybrid SUVs. The Crosstrek hybrid arrives with StarDrive technology that optimizes power, torque, and fuel-efficiency without sacrificing capability. The StarDrive hybrid system draws power from the battery whenever possible and seamlessly switches to gas power when more power is needed. The battery also recharges by harnessing kinetic energy from coasting downhill or by taking your foot off the throttle. You can also drive in all-electric mode or battery save mode to restore 33% of the batteries power in only 30 minutes of driving.

One of the last updates to the 2019 Subaru lineup is the Subaru WRX. This one of a kind rally car delivers unmatched performance on and off-road with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. For the 2019 model, the WRX STI is equipped with a new air intake and high-flow exhaust system which boosts the horsepower to 310. The WRX also features SI-DRIVE, a new performance feature that enables three different driving modes and regulates the Engine Control Unit, fine-tuning the throttle, and adjusting transmission shifts.
