Updates for 2023
Many of the changes for this model year have to do with style. The grille has increased in size so that it has a more imposing presence, and the headlamps have been tweaked a bit, as well. At the same time, Subaru has made some minor changes to the front bumper, which serves to make the SUV look more rugged.
Other updates have been made to the Outback's safety package. For the most part, the trims have the same driver-assist systems as they did last year. However, the cameras and monitoring systems have been improved so they can provide drivers with a better perspective of what's around them. On that note, the Touring trim now benefits from having a front-facing camera and a digital rearview mirror.
There have been a few other modifications, as well. The cabin of the Outback can have more interior LED lighting than it did previously, and the larger touchscreen now comes with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Plus, there's now an Onyx Edition trim that has the base engine. This is in addition to the Onyx Edition XT, which has the turbo engine. This brings the total number of Outback trim levels to nine.
